Is the drop in XRP price just a lull?

Considering that XRP is down more than a third from its high of around .028, is this just a temporary lull or something more? What is your reasoning?

Although these days the price of XRP is generally trending up on strong fondamentals and the price of BTC generally trending down due to growing obsolescence, strong movements away from the trend still seem somewhat correlated. I expect XRP uptrend to resume when BTC stops base jumping through its support levels.

There are a lot of bots running amok, without sufficient oversight from their masters. ~client2 is a particularly annoying bot, constantly sitting at the top of both bid and ask within a very tight range. There's nowhere to go when that happens.

~client2, change your trading algorithm or go play somewhere else!

I wouldn't be surprised to see the price first drop to the 0.012 / 0.010 - level, and only thereafter [after dull basing out] to pick up its upward move again. So yeah - in general a positive perspective, be it that XRP may well be seeing 35% - 45% lower levels first. Could easily be summer time when we might be back at the current levels.

That sounds like a very nice thing for a bot to do, keeping the spread small, at least for small trades.

It's a market making bot. That's what they are supposed to do. Real order flow one way or the other will move the price. As for the volatility, any asset that moves 500% in 6 weeks can fall 50% in a day. It's part of XRP's the underlying volatility and should be expected in any thinly traded asset like this. If we had some good charting tools, the indicator that we'd be looking at is Average True Range (ATR). And XRP's ATR has been very high recently, along with a big spike in short-term vol.

I agree! Barring any future FI announcements, the price should trend lower - at least for this quarter.

All the cryptos are crashing following Bitcoin's lead. Long overdue correction.
